1. Introduction:
By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully before booking.
2. Payment:
All fees must be paid in full on or before the drop off date. Payment can be made in cash or via bank transfer; however, bank transfers must be cleared prior to drop off. If payment is made the day before drop off, a screenshot of the transaction must be provided via SMS or email as proof of payment.
3. Pet Health:
Vaccinations
All dogs must be fully vaccinated with a C5 or C7 vaccination within the past 12 months. If a booster is required, it must be administered at least 7 days prior to boarding. Vaccination certificates must be presented upon arrival. Unfortunately, any dog that does not meet these vaccination requirements will not be accepted for boarding.
Health Condition
All dogs must be in good health and free from any contagious conditions. If a dog shows signs of illness upon arrival, Ashby Lodge reserves the right to refuse entry to protect the health of other boarding dogs .
Medication
Ashby Lodge will administer any prescribed medications as required. Please ensure all medications are clearly labelled and accompanied by detailed written instructions, along with any necessary supplies.
4. Pet Behaviour:
Ashby Lodge reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog or dog breed that is classified as dangerous or is known to or does exhibit aggressive behavior.
5. Personal Items:
Belongings
Ashby Lodge will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal items brought with your dog, including but not limited to leads, collars, toys, and bedding.
Food
If your dog requires a special or specific diet, you must provide enough food for the entire stay, along with detailed feeding instructions.
6. Multiple Dogs:
Twin and triple share boarding rates are applicable only to dogs that are checked in together and expressly instructed by the owner(s) to share a kennel. Only dogs from the same household or those with a proven and established relationship will be housed together. Ashby Lodge accepts no liability for any incidents that may occur during their stay, including, but not limited to, altercations between dogs. Any veterinary costs resulting from such incidents are the sole responsibility of the owner(s) and must be paid in full.
Triple share arrangements are at the discretion of Ashby Lodge and are dependent on size and compatibility of the dogs.
7. Liability:
Care & Attention
Ashby Lodge will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and well being of every dog in our care. However, we accept no responsibility for any injury, illness, death, or loss that may occur during your dogs stay.
Emergency Care
In the event of an emergency, Ashby Lodge will transport your dog to your nominated veterinary hospital or the nearest available clinic to ensure prompt medical attention. All veterinary fees must be paid in full prior to your dogs discharge. If the owner cannot be contacted, the attending veterinarian’s professional judgment will be final.
8. Unclaimed Dogs:
The maximum boarding period without payment is five (5) days. Any pet remaining in our care beyond five days without prior payment or not collected within five days of the agreed departure date will be considered abandoned. In such cases, Ashby Lodge reserves the right to take appropriate action at its discretion. Legal proceedings will be initiated to recover any outstanding fees.
Christmas Holiday, Easter Holiday & Long Weekend Periods – Terms & Conditions
Our standard terms and conditions apply in addition to the following holiday period policies.
1. Deposit:
Christmas Holiday Period: A non-refundable deposit of 5 nights stay is required within 7 days of the invoice date to secure your booking.
Easter Holiday & Long Weekend Period: No deposit is required.
2. Payment:
Christmas Holiday Period: Full payment must be received no later than 21 days prior to the drop off date.
Easter Holiday & Long Weekend Period: Full payment must be received no later than 14 days prior to the drop off date.
Failure to make payment by these deadlines will result in cancellation of the booking.
3. Daily Rates & Hours:
Boarding is charged in 24 hour blocks from 9am, regardless of your actual drop off or pick up time. Drop offs before 9am or pick ups after 9am must be arranged in advance at the time of booking and will incur an additional fee. This helps ensure kennel availability for all guests.
4. Minimum Stay:
Christmas Holiday Period: A minimum stay of 5 nights applies. Bookings shorter than this will be charged the full 5 night rate.
Easter Holiday Period: A minimum stay of 4 days applies. Bookings shorter than this will be charged the full 4 day rate.
Long Weekends: A minimum stay of 3 days applies. Bookings shorter than this will be charged the full 3 day rate.
5. Booking Changes:
Charges apply for all nights booked, regardless of any changes to your drop off or pick up dates once the booking has been confirmed.
6. Cancellations:
Christmas Holiday Period: Cancellations made 22 days or more prior to the drop-off date will forfeit the non refundable deposit of 5 days. Cancellations made within 21 days of the drop off date are non refundable and not eligible for a credit or refund, regardless of the reason.
Easter Holiday & Long Weekend Period: Cancellations made within 14 days of the drop off date are non-refundable and not eligible for a credit or refund, regardless of the reason.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
Ashby Lodge reserves the right to update or change their terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be updated on their website and effective immediately.
